Breyers Ice Cream

Breyers Ice Cream owned by Unilever is no longer all natural.
Watch the labels when purchasing.
They are sneaking in thinks like Tara Gum which the US Govt calls
natural because it come from some leaf on some tree.
I don't think ingredients like this belong in a premium all natural
Ice Cream.
I told them that they should relabel their Ice Cream and since they have several types of Vanilla to leave the Natural Vanilla flavor the way it was for years - milk, cream, vanilla bean and sugar.
As a matter of fact less than 6 month ago I saw there commercial where a kid reads the label. Nothing about Tara Gum. Some of the other flavors are much worse.
Here is a letter I got in response to my complaint:

Hello Tania,

Thank you for contacting Breyers.

We apologize that you do not care for the new formula in our Natural Vanilla and Chocolate Ice Cream.
Natural plant-sourced Tara gum enables Breyers temperature sensitive ice cream to stay creamier. It prevents the gritty or grainy texture that can develop with minor temperature fluctuations during distribution.
All of the ingredients used in our products meet legal standards for health and safety. Both ingredients and finished products are carefully studied and reviewed internally. In addition, governmental regulatory agencies set guidelines for safety of consumer products that we follow closely.

Our company is committed to providing our consumers with the best quality products. We will continue to research and develop products that meet our standards for quality, safety and convenience that also meet consumer's tastes and preferences.
I will certainly share your comments with the appropriate individuals within our company. We hope you will give Breyers another try. Please provide your complete mailing address as we would like to mail you a complimentary coupon for your next purchase.
Sincerely,

Breyers Consumer Services

Me:
I guess they have gotten lazy about their distribution practices.
For me, I have switched to Turkey Hill new natural Vanilla and Vanilla/ Chocolate combo. A little more expensive but worth it.
